Mylor Local History Group will be commemorating 60 years since the loss of the MV Darlwyne pleasure boat with all on board. Come along and hear how the tragedy happened off Dodman Point as she was making her way back to Mylor from Fowey. We will also have displays about other wrecks in our area and, to lighten the mood, there will be music from the Glee Singers. There is no charge for the afternoon which runs from 2.30 to about 4 pm. There will be refreshments available.
Mylor Local History Group's talks programme takes a rest over the late spring and summer months but we will be back on the last Saturday of September for our first meeting and talk of the new season. These take place in the Tremayne Hall at 7.30 pm. There is a £4 charge for non-members. The membership year starts in September so if you are interested, come along and join us!
