Mylor & Flushing Community Publications CIC (Community Interest Company), is pleased to announce that it has a limited amount of funding available for grant applications from community organisations. Please note this is a one-off funding allocation, and it is not anticipated that this will be repeated in future years.

  • Grants will be awarded for capital expenditure or specific events, but not to support ongoing core or revenue costs.
  • Grants will be awarded for amounts up to £1,000.
  • Grants should be for the benefit of the residents of the Parish of Mylor (this includes the villages of Flushing and Mylor Bridge, as well as nearby hamlets). Applicants will be asked to outline what the funds would be used for and how the grant awarded would provide such benefit. The scheme will not fund retrospective spending.
  • Grants will only be awarded to established organisations with a written constitution and a bank account in the name of the organisation. Grants will not be awarded to individuals.
  • Organisations do not need to be a registered charity. The organisation applying could be a branch of a larger organisation which is not itself based in the parish (e.g. Scouts), as long as it has a presence and membership in the parish.
  • Grants cannot be used to support items in schools which are eligible to be funded by the local authority, but could be used for items such as additional equipment or activities.
  • Successful applicants may be asked to provide updates in future editions of The Magazine on how the funding has been used and how it has benefitted the community.

If you would like to submit a grant application on behalf of an organisation which meets the above criteria, please complete the application form on the Mylor and Flushing Community Publications website here:
